Brain Gym Helps Children More Concentrate
Brain gym can help children build confidence and a positive influence in increasing concentration, improving focus, memory, and control of children’s emotions. Children’s brain can be trained through motor activity such as in their ability to use his left and right hand, and left and right foot.
BRAIN consists of two parts, namely the right and left with different functions but mutually supportive. The left brain is often associated with academic (math, writing, and reading), the function of verbal, temporal, logical, analytical, rational and patterned activity. The right brain is more on non-scholastic, such as art, creativity and understanding.
The right brain activities are usually trained through the introduction of paint and colors, singing, telling stories, and play. It’s all useful to develop children imagination. Meanwhile, a number of manipulative games are also taught to balance a child left brain intelligence. For examples are the Block, puzzles, counting, grouping, sort of large to small size, and arithmetic (adding and subtracting).
As for outdoor activities such as running, crawling and jumping motor coordination also trains the right brain and left. In addition to the variety of creativity games, balance left and right brain was also trained through the brain gym (brain gymnastics).
