Entering a child into the playgroup or kindergarten can help them to socialize, share and interact. Actually when the right time to enter preschool children is?
The experts emphasized that, for most children, entering pre school is an experience that should not be missed. “I believe that all children age three or four years should have the opportunity and advantage when they became a pre-school students,” said Anna Jane Hays, an expert on child development in Santa Fe, United States and author of several books, including one titled “Ready, Set, Preschool! and Kindergarten Countdown.”
“If entering preschool early, it would be more valuable. Now we know the kids are usually able to learn at a younger age. Faster, Better! in terms of structured opportunities to learn, ” she said, as quoted by WebMD pages.
So what actually benefit of preschool? A prominent study that discusses the benefits of preschool for children conducted by the Carnegie Foundation concluded that children who start in early childhood education proved to be more prominent in each class than others and are more likely to graduate from school and entering college faster.
Hays said, the point is the children who attend preschool are better prepared to succeed. “The kids who come to preschool already know how to interact with others. And come up with better language skills preparation and the wider knowledge base,” she said.
“Some of the most important benefits of preschool that helps children to socialize and begin to share and interact with other children and adults,” said Hoffman who is also Executive Director of the Parent Child Center in New York, United States.
Socialization factor is the best indicator of whether a child is ready to go into pre-school. “If he really likes to play with other children, have the ability to socialize and can be separated from the mother, your child may be ready,” said Hoffman.
Although must start early, the children themselves preparedness is the key. For being too quick success in school, instead it can be stressful for the child. “If your child is feeling anxious about being away from you, the benefits of preschool entry would not exist,” said Hoffman.
As parents, we certainly know when your child has a sense of anxiety and fear when we could not accompany her to pre school. And when the event does occur, your child will be miserable and depressed. If this happens, preschool will make him stress.
