Bronchitis Disease in Children

Acute bronchitis is a condition caused by narrowing of small airways (bronchi). Bronchitis in children can occur due to environmental factors or heredity. Therefore, parents must be vigilant and diligent in observing the child’s condition.



There are several characteristics of the child has asthma or bronchitis. Following the characteristics:

  1. Coughing at night. After completion of activity, cough will disappear own with or without drugs.
  2. Shortness of breath and rapid breathing. Pain in the chest and blue around the mouth and difficulty speaking
  3. There is a history of allergy either to the patient or family

Asthma in children due to respiratory disorders such as respiratory muscles contract, the channel thickened mucus or swollen and more mucus is thick and sticky.

Efforts to prevent the children from asthma are to keep the child from the dust, animals, cotton, or food which can cause allergies. Away child from cigarette smoke and also keep the child from the cold. Disease bronchitis in children 80 percent can be cured if handled quickly.
