Shaken Baby Syndrome is defined as violence against young children (usually infants) caused by the movement of the harsh shocks that cause damage to blood vessels in the brain, and cause nerve and brain damage.

According to Susan Palmer, Ph.D., Project Director Department of Research and Program Services, shaken baby syndrome is caused by the way you hand too hard on the baby. When hand or shaken, the baby’s head moves forward and backward during the period of 50-20 seconds. Shortly indeed, but the consequences is fatal. Why? This can cause bleeding in the head and increase pressure on the brain. Consequently, the brain is damaged and the baby was injured. If your emotions as it shook uncontrollably, the strength increased 50-10 times than the baby slipping or falling.

Because of the dangers of this behavior shaking a baby, the American Academy of Pediatrics classifies this as an act of child abuse.
